Marsh asks Chappell to help England

Rod Marsh, the new head coach of England's academy for young cricketers, has asked for help from his former Australian test skipper Ian Chappell.

Marsh, who used to run Australia's academy for young cricketers, and Chappell are due to talk to England's top 19 to 23-year-olds later this week.

"Ian will talk about captaincy and about short-pitched bowling and spin bowling," former Australian test wicketkeeper Marsh was quoted as saying in Tuesday's Daily Telegraph newspaper.

"He will also tell them how to deal with the media. He's got enormous knowledge and is a tough nut."

Marsh said that other former Australian team mates, like fast bowler Dennis Lillee and leg-spinner Terry Jenner, had also offered to help.

"If we want something to be the best, we should go out and get the best people," Marsh told the Daily Telegraph.
