Unbeaten century by Connor Williams

Baroda were 265 for six off 90 overs with skipper Connor Williams on an unbeaten 133 at close on the opening day of the Irani Trophy cricket match against Rest of India in Nagpur on Saturday.

Baroda, after being put in to bat by Rest skipper V V S Laxman, were 92 for two at lunch but Williams's knock helped them steady the boat.

Williams's unbeaten knock was studded with 15 fours and two sixes, and along with Himanshu Jadhav (43) he took Baroda to respectability.

For the Rest, off-spinner Sharandeep Singh was the most successful bowler with three for 70.

Brief scores:-
Baroda (1st innings) 265 for six off 90 overs (C Williams batting 133, H Jadhav 43, N Mongia 31, Sharandeep Singh 3/70)..
