Kapil sticks to his guns
on Ganguly's 'attitude'

Legendary all-rounder Kapil Dev on Monday stuck to his guns about questioning the commitment of current India skipper Sourav Ganguly and master blaster Sachin Tendulkar, but sought to end the controversy which followed his comments.

"I have said what I have said," Kapil Dev told reporters in Kolkata.

"If you like my comment, you like it. If you don't like it, you don't," the former India captain said, in an obvious reference to Ganguly disagreeing with his observations.

However, he refused to say anything more on the issue, saying "enough is enough".

In an interview to PTI last month, Kapil Dev had said India would be a different team if one could change the attitudes of Ganguly and Tendulkar.

"Sometimes you do get the impression that they are just in their own world. Sorry to say that, but you get the impression that they are not (part of) a team unit, even though great cricketers," Kapil Dev said during the interview, adding "they are committed to play, but the commitment to win - that is what is lacking".

Kapil Dev had also criticised Ganguly for his 'inability' to motivate the team.

The comments had led to a storm, with Ganguly publicly saying he does not agree with Kapil Dev's comments.
