Harbhajan likely to replace Sarandeep

V Veerakumar

Keen to wrap the series after missing the chance in Delhi, India are likely to field their best combination and bring back Harbhajan Singh for the final one-day international against England in Mumbai, on Sunday.

The Indians know that it will be England who will take the honours if the series ends in a draw. Thus, they will go all out to clinch the day-night encounter and finish with a 4-2 verdict.

Team sources, on Saturday, indicated that Harbhajan, who had been left out of the Delhi match which the Indians lost by two runs, would be back in business, replacing fellow off-spinner Sarandeep Singh.

Coach John Wright had, on Friday, said that the team would persist with the opening pair of Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag as they had always done well in the openers' role.

Skipper Sourav Ganguly will come in at number three followed by Dinesh Mongia, Mohammad Kaif and Hemang Badani. Wicketkeeper-batsman Ajay Ratra, who has provided some solidity in the lower order, along with Ajit Agarkar, leg spinner Anil Kumble and Javagal Srinath will comprise the playing eleven.

On the other hand, England are unlikely to make many changes in their winning combination. After a creditable performance in the Test series, which they lost 0-1, they have given the Indians a run for their money in the one-dayers too.
