Second U-19 semifinal abandoned due to rain

The second semifinal of the ICC Under-19 World Cup between Australia and West Indies was abandoned without a ball being bowled on Wednesday in Lincoln, New Zealand because of rain.

The West Indies will be hoping that the match can take place on Thursday because if play is not possible on the reserve day Australia will qualify automatically for Saturday's final as winners of their group.

South Africa await the winners of the match in Saturday's final after they beat India by 112 runs in the first semifinal on Sunday.
