Selectors to pick Indian captain on February 13

The selectors would meet in Mumbai to pick the Indian cricket captain on February 13 for the home series against Zimbabwe from February 15.

The meeting was advanced by a day as the Board of Control for Cricket in India secretary Niranjan Shah, who is also the selection committee convenor, had to attend the Asian Cricket Council meeting at Sharjah, said BCCI executive secretary Sharad Diwadkar

"Initially, the selectors were scheduled to meet here on February 14 but Niranjan Shah rang me up today to tell me to advance the meeting by a day so that he can attend the ACC meeting on time," Diwadkar added.

A couple of days ago, a top BCCI official had said here that southpaw Sourav Ganguly would stay as the Indian skipper for the home series.
