I would love to play India: Waqar

Pakistan captain Waqar Younis said Pakistan and India's strained relations are depriving the world of some great cricket.

"I would love to play against them but things are not really working out between the countries and politicians," Waqar told a news conference on Tuesday.

"The world is missing a great game of cricket between Pakistan and India... let's cross our fingers and see that things will get better."

Waqar was talking ahead of Pakistan's three-match one-day series against Australia, which starts on Wednesday.

India and Pakistan have not met on a cricket pitch for two years because of tensions over the issue of cross-border terrorism.
