Zimbabwe skipper Stuart Carlisle said his team hopes to stay on top in the current one-day series against India by winning the fourth match of the series in Hyderabad on Saturday.
Speaking to newsmen on Friday, Carlisle said: "We played very well in the last match. At the moment, we are playing well and hope to remain on top. We are happy that we are 2:1 up. However, we are taking the next game very seriously. We will try to win it and seal the series. Still, I say, the Indians are a good side and we will not take them lightly."
Asked whether Andy Flower is fit, he replied: "At the moment, he is alright. But the physiotherapist has to give him the fitness certificate."
To a query regarding who would be dropped should Andy play, he shot back, saying, "Obviously, a batsman will be dropped to include Andy Flower."
Reflecting on the wicket, he said, "Maybe, it will move around in the first session. It is a reasonably good batting track."
He observed that the weather is was not as humid as in Kochi.
Asked whether the Indians were complacent at Kochi, Carlisle retorted: "We also deserve credit. Whenever Zimbabwe wins a one-day international or a Test match, people always find fault with the opposition. But it is high time Zimbabwe got the credit for winning."
He said in the past three months, his players had worked on their fitness levels. "They have worked on fielding, and the bowlers and batsmen also worked on their weaknesses. We seem to be coming together. Still, we have a long way to go," he added.
