Harbhajan injured in
police scuffle

India's trump card for Tuesday's deciding match against Zimbabwe, Harbhajan Singh was injured following a scuffle with a policeman outside the team hotel in Guwahati on Monday.

According to an eyewitness, the policeman refused to allow the ace Indian spinner to take a photographer friend inside the team hotel, which was out of bounds for all except the players. An angry Harbhajan, a Deputy Superintendent of Police in Punjab, got into an argument and pushed the policeman. In the ensuing scuffle, he hurt his right elbow and finger as he fell and hit the massive iron gate.

The extent of his injury is not known, but according to an Assam Cricket Association official, it is not serious. The bowler was treated by physical trainer Andrew Leipus.
