Kiran More succeeds Lele
as secretary

Former India wicketkeeper Kiran More has succeeded Jaywant Lele as secretary of the Baroda Cricket Association.

The mananging committee of the BCA, which met in Baroda on Monday, under the chairmanship of association president Chirayu Amin, also appointed former India cricket captain Anshuman Gaekwad and Rakesh Parekh joint secretary and treasurer respectively.

The three posts were lying vacant since October 2001, following the resignations of secretary Lele, joint secretary Pradeep Desai and treasurer Ramesh Dalvi, in wake of the no-confidence motion moved against them by More's supporters, for their alleged involvement in financial irregularities and autocratic management.

According to BCA sources, the managing committee also decided to convene the general body meeting in June to elect new office-bearers.
