BCCI officials to inspect
England venues

The Board of Control for Cricket in India will send two of its officials to England to review security and other arrangements ahead of India's tour of the country in June.

BCCI joint secretary Jyoti Bajpai and media director Amrit Mathur will leave for England in the first week of April and inspect the venues where the Indian team will play during their tour, starting on June 18.

Besides security arrangements, the duo will also check out other facilitites including those for the sizeable Indian media contingent expected to cover the 83-day tour.

The English Cricket Board had sent John Carr and Tim O'Gorman to oversee security arrangements prior to the English team's recent visit of India.

India will play a triangular series involving Sri Lanka and England, and four Tests against England.

Meanwhile, coach John Wright will join the Indian team on its 64-day tour of the Caribbean on April 1 in London, where he is holidaying with family.
