Ganguly disagrees with
Kapil's remarks

India skipper Sourav Ganguly on Saturday said he does not agree with legendary all-rounder Kapil Dev's recent assessment of him and Sachin Tendulkar having an "attitude".

"No, I don't agree with his statement," Ganguly replied, when a scribe sought his reaction to Kapil's observation.

Ganguly, who was speaking to newspersons at a function organised by his sponsor Pepsi, said Kapil had expressed what he felt.

"That is his personal observation. Basically, I have nothing to say on it."

Asked how he had taken the critical comments made by the former India skipper, Ganguly said: "I read it just as I read other articles."

Kapil had said India would have been a different team if one could change the attitudes of Ganguly and Tendulkar.

'Sometimes you do get the impression that they are just in their own world. Sorry to say that, but you get the impression that they are not (part of) team, even though great cricketers,' Kapil had said, while adding, 'they are committed to play but the commitment to win -- that is what is lacking.'

Kapil had also criticised Ganguly for his "inability" to motivate the team.
