Sehwag, Agarkar to practice
with India 'A' team

Dashing Delhi batsman Virendra Sehwag, Mumbai paceman Ajit Agarkar, and middle order batsmen Yuvraj Singh of Punjab and Mohammed Kaif of Uttar Pradesh will practice with the Sri Lanka-bound India 'A' team at the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore from May 6.

The four players, considered one-day specialists, will train at the academy till the Indian team for the five-match one-day series against the West Indies is announced in Mumbai on May 14.

The India 'A' team, led by Maharashtra's Hrishikesh Kanitkar, will be playing three four-day unofficial Test matches and an equal number of unofficial one-dayers in Sri Lanka. The team will practice at the NCA till May 9 before leaving on a 29-day tour from Chennai.

Kaif and Yuvraj Singh were part of the India 'A' squad which toured South Africa recently while Sehwag missed the first part of the West Indies tour with a shoulder injury. Agarkar was not considered for the Test series against the West Indies.

However, all the four players stand a very good chance of making it to the one-day team.
