Windies pick Collymore,
Breese for ODIs

Fast bowler Corey Collymore and all-rounder Gareth Breese have been named by the West Indies selectors in a 13-member squad for the first two one-day internationals of a five-match series against India, starting this weekend.

They replace paceman Adam Sanford and leg-spinner Dinanath Ramnarine, who are both involved in the ongoing fifth Ttest at Sabina Park.

The 24-year-old Collymore, who was part of the West Indies one-day squad against Pakistan at Sharjah earlier this year, grabbed eight wickets for his local club side in Barbados on Sunday.

Jamaican Breese, a former West Indies under-19 captain, is hoping to make his debut in the series.

The two one-dayers will be played here on May 25 and 26. The third match will be held at Barbados on May 29 and the tour will end in Port of Spain, Trinidad with games on June 1 and 2.

The squad: Carl Hooper (captain), Brian Lara (vice captain), Chris Gayle, Wavell Hinds, Ramnaresh Sarwan, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Ridley Jacobs (wicketkeeper), Gareth Breese, Ryan Hinds, Mervyn Dillon, Pedro Collins, Cameron Cuffy, Corey Collymore.
