Physiotherapist Andrew Leipus on Saturday said the probables, undergoing a conditioning camp at Bangalore ahead of the New Zealand cricket series, were being given a regular briefing on medicines that contained banned substances to ensure that they did not use them.
Talking to reporters after the third day's morning session during which the probables were put through rigorous physical exercises, Leipus said there were chances of players inadvertently using alternative medicines like ayurvedic preparations that may contain banned substances.
"It is a tough job to monitor the drugs which the players use and identify whether it contains banned substance," the physio said adding he had instructed the players to use only drugs prescribed by the International Olympics Committee.
Leipus said his main focus was now on injury rehabilitation and management. He said the ongoing camp was concentrating on team building and lacing it with flexibility and enjoyment.
Team's trainer Allen Gregory King said the players have been responding very well to the training.
