A fine all-round performance by Aimee Mason (42 not out and 4-16) helped the touring New Zealand women's cricket team to crush Mumbai President's XI by 138 runs in a one-day warm-up match at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Tuesday.
Put in to bat, the World Champions made 217 all out off their stipulated 50 overs. Sara McGlashan top-scored with 80 runs off 120 balls with six fours and two sixes. Mason's quick fire 42 came off just 20 balls with five fours and two sixes.
For the hosts, Sonali Chandav (2-38) and Chandrani Kamble (2-25) bowled well while Arundhathi Kerkeree top scored for the home team with 27 off 54 balls before they were bowled out for just 79 runs in 29.2 overs.
The Kiwis will take on the India in the first of the five one-dayers at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai on December 4.
