Eng to review 2004 tour to Zim

England will review the situation in Zimbabwe in February before deciding whether to go ahead with their tour next year.

Des Wilson, a member of the England and Wales Cricket Board's management board who met on Tuesday, said in a statement: "We are determined that any decision with respect to our tour is taken by ourselves for the right reasons and at the right time."

England's players refused to play a World Cup match against Zimbabwe in Harare in February, citing security concerns. Australia, though, went ahead with their match in Bulawayo without incident.

The British Government had argued before the tournament that England should not play in Zimbabwe following criticism of President Robert Mugabe's administration and its controversial land reform policy.

England are due to visit Zimbabwe in October. Zimbabwe toured England earlier this year, contesting two Tests and a triangular one-day series also involving South Africa
