Manoj Prabhakar, the man who famously blew the lid off the match-fixing scandal in cricket before himself getting embroiled in it, continues to be dogged by controversy with his estranged wife today accusing him of "torturing" her "in collusion with a failed Bollywood actress".

Already serving a five-year ban following match-fixing allegations and facing a possible prosecution for fraud, the former India all-rounder finds himself in fresh trouble with Sandhya Prabhakar, who married the cricketer in 1986, alleging that her husband had moved in with the "failed actress" in a flat in Faridabad.

Sandhya also charged Manoj with cheating her and illegally removing her from the post of co-director of the company which the two of them had set up.

Sandhya, who had filed a case of harassment against her husband and the actress in the women's cell of Delhi Police last year, said she had been "paying for the sins of Manoj Prabhakar" for long and had decided to "expose him" now.

"I have supported him throughout and this is what I am getting in return. Ever since that actress has come into his life, he has completely neglected his family. He has tortured me physically and mentally and not spared our son either," she told PTI.

"I have suffered all these years and now there is no option before me but to seek divorce. I want to start a new life."

Despite repeated attempts to reach him for his version, Manoj was not available for comments. His office said he does not want to talk about the allegations.
