Indian cricket team skipper Sourav Ganguly has renewed his contract with Percept D'Mark for the next five years  in a deal believed to be in the region of Rs 50 crore [500 million].

Under the agreement, Percept D'Mark, a sports, entertainment and celebrity marketing and management company, will take care of Ganguly's endorsements, appearances, interviews and promotional campaigns till 2008.

The inking of the agreement ends a contractual row between the company and Ganguly that cropped up during their three-year association from 2000 to 2003.

At a news conference in Bangalore, Percept D'Mark's CEO Sanjay Lal declined to share financial details of the agreement, but sources said the deal is in the region of Rs 50 crore.

Responding to a question, Ganguly admitted that Nimbus did approach him with a deal, but "we decided to continue with this commitment".

"This association till 2008 will be till I finish my career," Ganguly said.

Asked if that meant he would retire in 2008, Ganguly said even in 2008 he can sign a new contract.
