Three former Indian spinners and batting great Sunil Gavaskar will meet in Kolkata on November 19 to resume their deliberations on reviving the art of spin bowling.

The exercise, under the aegis of the Board of Control for Cricket in India, is aimed at setting up an exclusive arm to harness spinners at the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore.

The discussions will focus putting in place the proposed spinners' wing at the NCA, BCCI sources told rediff.com.

In May, about 10 legendary Indian spinners gathered in Kolkata to deliberate on the future of spin bowling. The BCCI has invited Bishen Singh Bedi, Erapalli Prasanna and S Venkatraghavan to the meet.

Gavaskar will attend in the capacity of chairman of the BCCI's technical committee.

Chandrasekhar can't attend the conclave because he has gone abroad to treat an old leg injury.

The sources said it is likely that the spinners' wing will roll off in May-June 2004.

Talented spinners will be groomed at the unit and talent spotters will pick around five promising players from every zone and send them to the NCA camp.

The BCCI is still to decide who will head the wing. Bedi and Prasanna are the likely candidates for the job because Venkataraghavan is busy with umpiring assignments and Chadrasekhar's mobility has been hampered since he met with an accident some years ago. But all of them and others like Shivlal Yadav, Bapu Nadkarni and Anil Kumble will be consulted whenever required.
