Vermeulen steers Zim to win

Mark Vermeulen scored an unbeaten half-century to steer Zimbabwe to victory in the second one-day international against West Indies on Sunday.

Vermeulen was 66 not out as Zimbabwe won by six wickets with 20.2 overs to spare and levelled the five-match series at 1-1.

West Indies were dismissed for just 125 in 42.3 overs.

Heath Streak was 38 not out in an unbroken fifth-wicket stand of 74 that started after Zimbabwe had struggled to 54 for four in the 19th over.

Vermeulen scored steadily to rescue an innings that teetered on two for eight. He faced 79 balls and hit 13 fours for his third one-day half-century.
