Pakistan won the Emerging Trophy cricket series, routing Sri Lanka in the final by six wickets, at the Premadasa stadium in Colombo on Sunday.
Junaid Zia, son for Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Lt Gen Tauqir Zia, claimed four scalps for 24 runs to restrict the hosts to a paltry 105.
Pakistan had no problems chasing the target and romped home with 22 overs to spare.
Seamers Yasir Ali, Mohammed Khalid Yasir Arafat claimed a brace each to bring a premature end to the Sri Lankan innings, in just 35.5 overs.
The Lankans, who went into the final as favourites after being undefeated in earlier matches, seemed to have no answer to the Pakistan pace battery, with only Thilana Kandambi managing to take the fight to the opponents for a brief period. He scored 35 runs that included a four and a six.
Pakistan completed the chase in just 28 overs, with Barber Naseem top-scoring with 33 in 70 balls. Right-arm seamer Tharanga Lakshitha took three wickets for 33 runs for the hosts in his nine overs.
Zia, who was impressive throughout the series, was named the man of the match and of the series.
India, the third team in the championship, lost their first two league matches before winning the last tie against Pakistan. One of their league matches against Sri Lanka was washed out.
