Bangladesh team manager Latif Khan says a controversial catch by Pakistan captain Rashid Latif could have cost his team the chance of the first Test win in their history.
"We have no doubt that the catch was costly for us and had a bearing on the match which is why we felt strongly about the issue," Latif told Reuters on Monday.
Pakistan won the third and final Test in Multan on Saturday by one wicket to take the series 3-0, but match referee Mike Procter banned wicketkeeper Rashid Latif for five one-day internationals after a complaint by the Bangladesh manager.

Latif took the catch diving in front of first slip but after rolling over twice. Television replays showed the ball had popped out of his hand before he completed his motion of the catch.
But the Pakistan wicketkeeper told the hearing called by Procter on Saturday evening that he believed he had held the ball long enough to complete the catch which is why he did not call the batsmen back.
"We have no personal problems with Rashid -- he is a fine and honest gentleman who has done a lot for cricket with his upright stand on many issues," said Latif Khan.
"But we strongly felt that as Pakistan captain he had more responsibility to call the batsman back.
"We filed a complaint with the referee because we felt Rashid had not acted according to his status but that does not mean we have anything against him," the Bangladesh manager said.
