Zimbabwe Cricket Union (ZCU) chairman Peter Chingoka will urge England to go ahead with their controversial October tour at a meeting at Lord's on Tuesday.
Chingoka and ZCU board member Ozias Bvute will attend an England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) management meeting called to discuss the visit. The ECB will make a decision next month after discussions with government ministers.
British Prime Minister Tony Blair's official spokesman has said the government has serious concerns about Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe's government but has left a final decision to the ECB. England refused to play in Zimbabwe at last year's World Cup because of security concerns.
The meeting takes place on the same day as a one-day international between Sri Lanka and a Zimbabwe side seriously weakened by the absence of 13 rebel white players.
