Hashim Amla, who was kept out in the opening match, is most likely to be included in the South African side to attract his home crowd in the second cricket Test against England at the Sahara Kingsmead, Durban from Sunday.
Provincial cricket CEO Cassim Docrat said in an interview that Amla was almost certain to be picked for the Test match beginning here on Sunday.
"He is a local boy and because of this we have been inundated with calls for tickets," Docrat said.
Amla was dropped for the first Test in Port Elizabeth where the national side was thumped by seven wickets.
Amla was part of the South African squad that toured India recently but played in only the second Test at Kolkata.
He was the 12th man during the first Test at Kanpur.
Cricket observers here believe that new wicket-keeper, Thami Ntsolekile, may be dropped because of his poor batting performance.
It's likely that he will be replaced by A B de Villiers who is regarded as both a wicket-keeper and top class batsman.
Meanwhile, the teams top batsman, Jacques Kallis, is most likely to bowl again after recovering from a shoulder injury.
He said in an interview that he was feeling okay and would bowl in the second Test. Kallis, who is seen as one of the world's top batsmen, said he would like to see the players adopting a tough mental attitude for the second Test.
"Test cricket is a tough mental challenge. We must dig deep and find that toughness if we want to compete against England," he said.
