In the Sydney Test, Sachin Tendulkar became the first Indian and only the fifth batsman in history to score more than 300 runs in a Test match without being dismissed.

Tendulkar's innings of 241* and 60* also took his career aggregate in 'away' Tests to exactly 5,000 runs, making him the second Indian (after Sunil Gavaskar) and fifth batsman overall to have scored 5,000 or more runs in matches on foreign soil.

Former Australian captain Allan Border heads the table of leading run-scorers in away matches with 5,431 runs from 70 games. Surely Tendulkar will not take much time now toppling him from the number one position.
