Australia fast bowler Glenn McGrath has been reprimanded and fined 25 per cent of his match fee for an audible obscenity following an appeal for a leg before wicket decision against Sri Lanka's Sanatha Jayasuriya during the fifth day of the drawn second Test on Tuesday.

McGrath was reported for a Level 1 offence under clause 1.4 which relates to 'using language that is obscene, offensive or insulting'.
The report was made by all four officiating umpires.
Broad said: "It is important that all players continue to observe ICC guidelines that protect the values, integrity and spirit of the game.
"The on-field umpires came to the defence of Glenn McGrath during the hearing given his exemplary behaviour prior to the offence.
"Evidence was brought to the hearing that Ricky Ponting approached Glenn McGrath and immediately took control of the situation, and we were satisfied that this was the appropriate course of action."
Separately, Cricket Australia announced no further action would be taken against McGrath under the players' Spirit of Cricket Code.
