The Pakistan Cricket Board has expressed satisfaction over the way BCCI President Jagmohan Dalmiya has finalised deals relating to television and title sponsorship rights for the triangular one-day series in Holland.

"Dalmiya has kept us abreast of the negotiations he held for the sale of television and title sponsorship rights of this tournament and we are happy he has been able to secure good bids for both the major properties," PCB Chief Executive Rameez Raja was quoted as saying in local daily The News on Tuesday.

Dalmiya announced on Monday that the Videocon Group had secured the event sponsorship rights while the series will be telecast live by Sony Entertainment Television.

Pakistan, India and Australia are the participating teams in the tri-nation series being held from August 22 to 27 with the three boards sharing the revenues on equal basis after a payment to the Dutch Cricket Association.

The tournament is being held primarily to allow Pakistan to recoup some of the financial losses it suffered in 2002 when the Australian cricket team refused to tour Pakistan because of security concerns and the one-day and Test series was played at neutral venues.

Raja said Dalmiya, who handled the bids for the Asia Cup tournament in Sri Lanka too, had also informed the PCB about the bidding process for the regional tournament.

The Asian Cricket Council is said to have got a bid for television, radio, title and other event sponsorship of the Asia Cup for $19.5 million dollars.
