Disappointed with the string of poor results by his side, India skipper Sourav Ganguly indicated he is looking for fresh talent, saying he will be keeping an eye on those performing well in the domestic circuit, including the ongoing Irani Cup.

"The Irani Trophy is on. I'll see whoever is playing well in the domestic circuit and then take a decision," Ganguly said, when asked whether he would opt for new players for the coming four-Test series against the formidable Australians.

Ganguly, who was speaking to newspersons at the NSC Bose International Airport in Kolkata on arrival from Mumbai by a Sahara Airlines flight on Thursday morning, said a dejected 'no' to a question whether he saw anything positive about India's performance in recent tournaments, including the just-ended ICC Champions Trophy.

"No, it's just that we did not play well," he replied.

Ganguly, along with manager Goutam Dasgupta and four other members of the squad, returned to Mumbai on Wednesday night from London after failing to make it to the semi-finals in the Champions Trophy.

The Indian skipper and Dasgupta then took the morning flight from the western metropolis to return home.

To a query if it was a right decision to persist with Rohan Gavaskar in the first eleven in the Champions Trophy despite the southpaw's dismal run, the Indian skipper replied: "It is no point blaming any single player when the whole team did not play well."

Quizzed on the measures needed to boost the team, Ganguly said, "I've just come back. Let us see what can be done."
