Indian eves beat West Indies

A superb 68-run knock by Anju Jain helped India beat West Indies by nine wickets to enter the semi-finals of the Women's World Cup in Pretoria on Friday.

An unbeaten Jain received strong support from Jay Sharma who bagged 47 runs.

India scored 139 runs with the loss of two wickets to surpass the West Indies total of 135.

With this win, India registered semi-final berth alongside Australia, New Zealand and England. India has 27 points, Australia 32, New Zealand 26 and England 23.

Meanwhile, Australia trounced Ireland by ten wickets after knocking out the Irish for 66 runs for eight wickets. Australia made 68 without losing a wicket.

New Zealand beat England by five wickets after bundling out the English for 179 runs. New Zealand made 180 for five wickets.

In the last match, Sri Lanka beat South Africa by 32 runs. After making 158 in their innings, Sri Lanka bowled out the hosts for 126 runs.
