The Pakistan Cricket Board has turned down a request from the Cricket Australia to prepone their team's scheduled visit to Pakistan for five one-dayers and three Tests by six months.
Australia's request for rescheduling the February 2008 tour to August 2007, just after the World Cup, was rejected on the ground that the weather in Pakistan then would not be conducive for international cricket.
"CA had sent us a request that they would like to undertake their scheduled tour of Pakistan in August 2007 instead of February 2008. But we've declined because the weather in August -- specially in Punjab -- is not conducive for international cricket," a senior PCB official said.
The Australians, led by former captain Steve Waugh, had declined to play in Pakistan on their last tour in 2002 on security grounds and the series was shifted to neutral venues -- Colombo and Sharjah -- with a tri-series being held in Nairobi.
The official said the PCB had also got some queries from different boards for organisation of A team and junior tours.

Pakistan this season will host England and India besides staging the Asia Cup from mid-February next year.
While the itinerary for the England series has been announced from October 26 to December 22, the programme for the series against India is yet to be finalised with the main interest being if India would accept Pakistan's proposal to play a Test and a one-dayer in Karachi, the newspaper reported.
However, a PCB source said the Indians had already conveyed to the PCB that they would play a Test and one-dayer in Karachi on their tour and there would be no changes on security or political grounds.
"India is certain to play a Test in Karachi but they've to get the itinerary formally approved from some of their ministries before making a final announcement," he said.
