Rain prematurely ended Brian Lara's probable last match in Australia on Friday with the game against the Prime Minister's XI abandoned in the 32nd over of West Indies' chase of 317 for victory.
The 36-year-old Lara, who will be 39 when West Indies tour Australia again in December 2008, was on 13 when rain swept across Canberra's Manuka Oval with the visitors on 174 for three.
The Prime Minister's XI, who had scored 316 for four in 50 overs, won the match on the Duckworth Lewis system by six runs.
Ramnaresh Sarwan made 89 for the visitors, while Dwayne Bravo was 52 not out.
West Australian batsman Adam Voges compiled a measured 91 to lead the Prime Minister's XI to their imposing total.
Voges put together a 132-run fourth-wicket partnership with Callum Ferguson, who was 70 not out.
