Captain Inzamam-ul-Haq struck an unbeaten 64 to keep Pakistan in the hunt for a series levelling win against the West Indies on day three of the second and final Test in Jamaica on Sunday.
Pakistan reached 223 for four at close, 193 runs ahead of the home side despite brilliant bowling from pacer Corey Collymore who has taken 10 for 114 in the match in Kingston.
Collymore became the first West Indian bowler to take 10 wickets in a match since Courtney Walsh took 10 for 117 against England at Lords in 2000.
Having dismissed Yasir Hameed (26), Shoaib Malik (64) and Asim Kamal (0) in the second innings, Collymore should also have picked up Inzamam's wicket.
The 35-year-old Inzamam made the home side pay heavily for dropping him on the first ball he faced when wicketkeeper Courtney Browne put down a regulation chance while diving in front of first slip.
Inzamam, who missed the first Test due to a ICC ban for excessive appealing in a match in Bangalore in April, opened up to play some brilliant shots as he raced to 20 with four boundaries.

The bounce also resulted in the dismissal of Younis Khan for 43, caught and bowled by Chris Gayle. Younis put on 75 with Inzamam after Pakistan were 119 for three.
Browne also put down a difficult leg side chance from Younis when he was on 39 off Gayle.
The West Indies, having resumed on 275 for four in the morning, were bowled out for 404 one hour after lunch with Brian Lara dismissed for a glorious 153 runs and Wavell Hinds contributing a valuable 63.
Shabbir Ahmed, who took three wickets with the second new ball including Lara and Courtney Brown for a duck in successive deliveries, finished with four for 64 and Shahid Afridi three for 51.
Hinds's resolute innings gave West Indies a lead of 30 runs but this was quickly nullified by Malik and Hameed who got off to a flying start of 66 runs.
Taking advantage of some ordinary bowling they hit nine fours before Collymore had Hameed caught by Hinds at third slip in his second over.
Collymore returned after tea to break a threatening second wicket stand of 53 between Malik and Younis.
He had Malik caught behind for a well made 64 from 79 balls with eight fours and two balls later trapped Kamal.
He finished with three for 36 after taking seven for 78 in the first innings.
