Medium pacer Joginder Sharma scalped three wickets as Haryana took the driver's seat on the second day of the Ranji Trophy Plate Division final against Services in Gurgaon on Thursday.
The three wicket burst by the seamer restricted Services to 102 for five at stumps after the hosts were bowled out for 342.
Satish Upadhayay (14) and Sarabjeet Singh (9) were unbeaten when stumps were drawn on day two.
Services were off to a disastrous start as they lost their first three wickets with just 31 on the board.
Sachin Rana began Service's slide when he trapped opener Narendra Singh leg before wicket in the ninth over. Joginder Sharma then joined the act claiming the wickets of PMS Reddy and Jasvir Singh to put the opposition on the back foot.
Services were pulled out of the woods by Yashpal Singh (22) and K G Chawda (18) who added 42 runs for the fourth wicket before the former was run out with the total on 73.
Sharma, who finished the day with 3/30, made Chawda to edge one to wicketkeeper Ajay Ratra as half of the Services side was back in the pavilion for 75 runs.
Upadhyay and Sarabjeet, however, ensured that their was no further damage in the remaining 19 overs adding 27 runs for the unbroken sixth wicket stand.
Earlier, resuming at 264 for four, Haryana lost their last six wickets for just 78 runs.
At one stage, the hosts were reduced to 302 for eight but leg spinner Amit Mishra (28) and Gaurav Vashist (6) added 35 valuable runs for the ninth wicket to take Haryana close to the 350-run mark.
