Pakistan's pace bowler Shabbir Ahmed, who was reported for a suspect action for the second time this year, will miss the second Test against England starting on Sunday.

Pakistan coach Bob Woolmer said Shabbir is the only likely change from the first Test which they won.

A Pakistan cricket Board source said the team management had been advised not to play Shabbir in the Test.

"We are very intent on finishing the series here. We realise we have a momentum going and if we play well here we can beat England and win the series." Woolmer said.

"England have not batted well. They have batted well in bits and pieces but they haven't batted well throughout the series so we need to take this opportunity. It's there for us."

Woolmer, a former England player, said Rana Naved could be picked for the second Test as he had taken 11 wickets in a domestic match in Faisalabad.

"He is certainly in the reckoning for tomorrow's game."

Woolmer said Pakistan's Test cricket had got better since the last time they played in Faisalabad in October 2004 and lost to Sri Lanka.

"We have showed a lot of fighting spirit. We have won four out of the last five Tests and I think that a pretty good effort. We have to play better cricket than England, because it looks like the ball has more opportunity to turn here," he said.
