India have been placed in Group A along with world champions Australia and England for the Champions Trophy tournament later this year, ICC President Ehsan Mani announced in Margao on Sunday.
A qualifier, to be picked from among West Indies, Zimbabwe, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, would also be placed in Group A, the International Cricket Council chief said.
Group B would comprise Pakistan, South Africa, New Zealand and the second qualifier.

Mani said all outstanding issues had been resolved with the Board of Control for Cricket in India but for two matters relating to tickets for ICC's sponsors and the fourth venue for the one-day tournament.
"We hope these two matters will also get resolved in two week's time," he told reporters.
