The Board of Control for Cricket in India's marketing committee on Tuesday approved various sponsorship bids, which include rights of cricket matches played in neutral venues, for ratification by the Working Committee, which will meet on Wednesday.
The Indian team's formal wear and accessories, BCCI ratings, awards and web portal were the other bids that were approved by the Marketing Committee, chaired by Lalit Modi.
However, the ground and in-stadia advertisment bid by Percept D Mark, the only company in the fray, was found to be very low and the marketing committee decided to float a fresh tender, next Friday in Delhi, which will be open to new bidders, Modi told reporters in Chennai.
The committee also discussed and approved the bid by Accenture for the BCCI's website.
With regard to the talent hunt reality show, Modi said, "The BCCI did not approve of the proposals that were received for the reality shows. We will discuss again on this and if necessary tenders will be floated for it later."
