The Annual General Meeting and election of office-bearers of the Board of Control for Cricket in India would be held in Mumbai on September 27 and 28.

"The AGM will be held at the Cricket Club of India," BCCI secretary Niranjan Shah said on Wednesday.

This will be the first AGM that Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar, who defeated beleaguered former BCCI chief Jagmohan Dalmiya's candidate Ranbir Singh Mahendra in the elections last year in Kolkata, will preside over.

It will also be the first instance that the office-bearers would be elected for a two-year term, as per amendments to the BCCI constitution, carried out through a Special General Meeting earlier this year.

The selection committee will also have a two-year term without the need to be re-appointed as is the case at present.

Meanwhile, the Indian teams for next month's triangular series in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and the subsequent ICC Champions Trophy in October-November would be chosen in Mumbai on September 3.

Shah said the squad for the September 12-24 tri-series in South East Asia, also involving Australia and the West Indies, may comprise 15 players.

"We may select 15 players for the triangular series," Shah said, "but the final team for the October 7-November 5 Champions Trophy, to be played at home, can consist of 14 players as per regulations laid down by the International Cricket Council."

Already, all the participating teams in the Mini World Cup have declared their probables' list, which has to be pruned down to 14 by September 7.

Shah said he will discuss the tune-up of the Rahul Dravid-led Indian team for the Malaysia tri-series with the captain and coach Greg Chappell on Thursday.

"I also have to talk to cricket authorities in Chennai and Bangalore before deciding on where to have the preparatory schedule for the team," Shah explained.

The Indian squad returned home a few days ago from the ill-fated tour of Sri Lanka, which was beset by rain and security concerns following a bomb blast in Colombo.

It has played very little competitive cricket at the internatonal level after

Since clinching the four-Test series in the West Indies in the first week of July India has played very little international cricket.
