Australia fast bowler Brett Lee was reported for excessive appealing in the second Ashes Test against England at Adelaide Oval.

Lee was cited by New Zealand match referee Jeff Crowe after celebrating what he thought was the wicket of England batsman Kevin Pietersen early on day two.

West Indian umpire Steve Bucknor rejected the Australian team's appeal for catch by wicketkeeper Adam Gilchrist.

Lee was ordered to appear at a judicial hearing either on Sunday or Monday and faces a fine if found guilty.
