Indian bowlers shared the booty as they skittled out England Under-19 for 231 in their first innings on the opening day of four-day cricket match at Canterbury on Wednesday.
Yo Mahesh, Sumit Sharma and Shahbaz Nadeem picked two wickets each while Ishant Sharma, Harshad Khadiwale and Karan Singh took one each to complete the rout in 88.4 overs.
The Indians appeared to be in high spirits after their 3-0 clean sweep in the one-day series, as they launched their campaign in the two-Test series.
Khadiwale gave them an early breakthrough by trapping captain Varun Chopra leg before wicket at a cheap score of 14 after he elected to bat at St Lawrence Ground.
Khadiwale returned with one wicket for seven runs in his three overs.
Sumit scalped two consecutive wickets in the space of 46 runs to reduce the hosts to 89 for 4 at one stage but Adam Lyth came to stabilise their innings with a defiant half century.
Lyth posted a 156-ball 64 before he was caught by Srivastava off Nadeem's delivery. He also sent nine hits to the fence during his around two-and-half-hour stay in the middle.
Rory Hamilton-Brown was another batsman to contribute, scoring 45 off 60 balls, aided by seven fours and one six.
