Match referee, umpire appointments for Champions Trophy

The ICC on Thursday confirmed match referee and umpiring appointments for the ICC Champions Trophy in India.

The appointments cover 16 of the 21 matches in the 30-day tournament, being held from October 7 to November 5 at four venues -- Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Mohali and Mumbai.

The officials for the matches between England and Qualifier 2 in Ahmedabad on October 28 October and India and Australia in Mohali on October 29, as well as the two semi-finals (November 1 in Mohali and November 2 in Jaipur) and the final will be made and announced in due course, the ICC said in a statement.

The eight umpires named are all from the Emirates Elite Panel and the three refereesĀ are from the Emirates Elite Panel of ICC Referees.

The appointments:

October 7: Sri Lanka v Bangladesh, Mohali.
Match referee: Mike Procter
On-field umpires: Daryl Harper and Steve Bucknor
Third umpire: Simon Taufel
Fourth umpire: Billy Bowden.

October 8: West Indies v Zimbabwe, Ahmedabad
Match referee: Jeff Crowe
On-field umpires: Rudi Koertzen and Mark Benson
Third umpire: Aleem Dar
Fourth umpire: Asad Rauf.

October 10: Sri Lanka v Zimbabwe, Ahmedabad
Match referee: Jeff Crowe
On-field umpires: Aleem Dar and Asad Rauf
Third umpire: Rudi Koertzen
Fourth umpire: Mark Benson.

October 11: West Indies v Bangladesh, Jaipur
Match referee: Ranjan Madugalle
On-field umpires: Billy Bowden and Simon Taufel
Third umpire: Steve Bucknor
Fourth umpire: Daryl Harper.

October 13: Bangladesh v Zimbabwe, Jaipur
Match referee: Ranjan Madugalle

October 14: Sri Lanka v West Indies, Mumbai
