Pakistan captain Younis Khan won the toss and elected to field against New Zealand in a Group B match of the ICC Champions Trophy, at the Punjab Cricket Association stadium, in Mohali, on Wednesday.

Pakistan went in with the same team that beat Sri Lanka in their opening match.

New Zealand opted for a couple of changes, bringing in Peter Fulton and James Franklin in place of Hamish Marshall and Jeetan Patel.

The winner of the match is guaranteed a spot in the semi-finals.

This match will be a memorable one for Stephen Fleming, as he will surpass Arjuna Ranatunga's record of captaining a side in the most number of one-day internationals. Both are level with 193 matches as captain.

New Zealand will also become the sixth nation to play 500 one-day internationals.

Teams:

New Zealand: Stephen Fleming (captain), Nathan Astle, Lou Vincent, Peter Fulton, Jacob Oram, Scott Styris, Brendon McCullum, Daniel Vettori, Shane Bond, Kyle Mills, James Franklin.

Pakistan: Younis Khan (captain), Imran Farhat, Shoaib Malik, Mohammad Yousuf, Mohammad Hafeez, Shahid Afridi, Abdul Razzaq, Kamran Akmal, Naved-ul Hasan, Umar Gul, Iftikhar Anjum.
