The International Cricket Council (ICC) has agreed to review the Members Participation Agreement (MPA) after the Asian bloc refused to sign it before the set deadline, a Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) official said on Tuesday.

The PCB official said that the representatives of the Asian countries - India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh - held talks with ICC President Percy Sonn and his colleagues on the MPA on the sidelines of the Champions Trophy in India in the last few days.

He said that none of the four Tests nations, who hold the rights to host the 2011 World Cup, had signed the agreement although the ICC had set a deadline of October 31 for the same.

"The deadline has passed and the ICC has now agreed to review the existing clauses and try to incorporate some of our suggestions in a revised version," the official said.

The MPA governs the marketing and other aspects of all ICC events from mid-2007 to 2015.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has raised the strongest objection to one particular clause of the MPA under which member countries are not allowed to bid for media rights of the ICC tournaments.
