  • Sachin Tendulkar (65) became the first batsman in India-West Indies ODIs to record 10 fifties, apart from three hundreds.
  • He took his aggregate to 1,351 (avg: 54.04) in 33 matches, which is the second best in India-West Indies ODIs, next only to Desmond Haynes' tally of 1,357 runs at an average of 42.41 in 36 matches.
  • India registered their 32nd win in 85 matches against the West Indies.
  • With his 73rd one-day fifty, Tendulkar became the first batsman to aggregate 200 runs in the tri-series. He now has 218 runs at an average of 109.00.
  • The seventh wicket partnership of 78 between Tendulkar and Harbhajan Singh is a record for India against the West Indies, eclipsing the 76 between Tendulkar and Kapil Dev, at Brisbane in 1991-92.
  • Harbhajan (37) posted his highest score against the West Indies, bettering his 26 at Port of Spain earlier this year.
  • Brian Lara (100) became the second West Indian after Viv Richards (106) and the 13th captain in one-day international history to lead his team in 100 or more ODIs.
  • Dwayne Smith (4/31) produced his best bowling performance against India. For the third time in his ODI career, he claimed four or more wickets in a match.
  • His top two performances are five for 45 against New Zealand at Auckland and four for 29 against Zimbabwe at Port of Spain, both earlier this year.
  • Rahul Dravid's second duck against the West Indies is his 10th in ODIs.
  • For the first time in 21 matches, Dravid's batting average fell below 40.00.
  • Yuvraj's first duck against the West Indies is his eighth in ODIs. He is yet to open his account in the competition after recording two successive ducks at the Kinrara Oval.
  • Harbhajan got his third Man of the Match award for his all-round performance (37 + 3/35). His earlier two awards were against South Africa at Centurion in 2001 and England at Delhi earlier this year.
  • Mahendra Singh Dhoni took his 50th catch (Runako Morton) and 10th stumping (Dwayne Bravo) in his 51st match.
