The India Under-19 team maintained their winning streak against their Pakistani counterparts, scoring a thrilling seven-run victory in the second limited-overs match in Karachi on Thursday.

After being restricted to 224 in 49.5 overs, the Indians restricted the home side to 217 for nine in the allotted 50 overs at Sheikhupura.

Sumeet Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja picked three wickets apiece and skipper Piyush Chalwa two to lead India's fine bowling performance.

All-rounder Imad Wasim hit a defiant 62, inclusive of three fours and a six, as Pakistan made a last-ditch effort before falling short of the target.

Apart from Wasim, only captain Riaz Kail (38, including five fours) and Ahmed Iqbal (29) batted confidently.

Earlier, the Indian innings was built around the reliable left-hander Tanmay Srivastava, who scored 53 from 84 balls, inclusive of three fours, and valuable contributions came from Virat Kohli (45), Chawla (40) and Sumant (27).

Srivastava and Chawla have been in excellent batting form on the tour, both having scored big hundreds in the second Test in Peshawar.

The Indians, having won the Test series 2-0, now lead the four-match one-dayers 2-0.
