Harbhajan Singh's run in English county cricket seems to be getting better by the day.

The Indian off-spinner was the star performer for English county club Surrey as he took 11 wickets to help them beat Kent by four wickets in the County Championship Division One match at the St Lawrence Ground in Canterbury on Thursday.

Harbhajan followed up his first innings haul of 5 for 34 with 6 for 57 in the second innings for match figures of 11wickets for 91 runs.

In addition, he also contributed with a vital innings of 29 in Surrey's second innings to help them chase down a dodgy target of 107.

Promoted to number five in the batting, the Indian ace hit five boundaries in his 22-ball knock to take Surrey to victory.

Electing to bat, Kent were bowled out for 160, but managed to restrict Surrey to 215.

Harbhajan then took six wickets as Kent posted 171 in their second innings, courtesy James Tredwell's 50.

Chasing a target of 107, Surrey were reduced to 47 for 3, before Harbhajan chipped in with a blazing knock of 29.

It's been a dream run for Harbhajan in England. He has a haul of 26 wickets in four matches, at an average of 14.80 in the County Championship Division One matches.

Though Harbhajan is not part of the Indian squad for the seven-match one-day international series against England he has been named in the squad for the Twenty20 World Championship, to be held in South Africa in September.
