Indian skipper Rahul Dravid climbed eight places to return to the top-five ODI bastmen in the latest ICC Player Rankings while his deputy Mahendra Singh Dhoni dropped 10 places to be 15th.

Dravid's impressive run in the ongoing one-day series against England with the scores of 46, 92 not out and 56 in the first three cricket ODIs, pushed him to the fifth spot just behind Australian opener Matthew Hayden.

For England, Ian Bell's three consecutive half centuries helped him jump 15 places and get the career best 14th spot.

The 25-year-old Warwickshire batsman was the architect of England's 2-1 lead with his scores of 79, 126 not out and 64.

Andrew Flintoff's maiden five wicket haul in the second ODI at Bristol broke back the injured bowler into the top ten while James Anderson made it into the top-20.

Flintoff jumped five places to be 10th while Anderson, has moved to 14th spot, an improvement of 19 places.

Flintoff also improved on his rankings for ODI all-rounders as he moved up three places to claim the second position behind South African Shaun Pollock.

Zimbabwean Tatenda Taibu was also rewarded for his unbeaten century against South Africa in Harare on Sunday as he returned to the ICC rankings to claim 70th spot.

However, the lacklustre performance of Indian bowlers reflected on their rankings with paceman Ajit Agarkar being the highest-placed at 19th spot.

In the team's rankings, India remains in fifth place but can leapfrog Sri Lanka into fourth position with a strong finish to the series.
