As Bangalore's cricket fans prepare to watch traditional rivals India and Pakistan battle it out in the third and final Test at the Chinnaswamy stadium, bad news has trickled in, in the form of rain.
The weather forecast for the city on Saturday, the opening day of the Test, is heavy rain, with temperatures between 20 and 23 degrees celcius.
The Met department also says the city will experience showers on Sunday too, with temperatures between 20 and 24 degrees celcius.
Since Bangalore is situated at high altitude, it could experience rain throughout the week.
There could be a serious problem with the light also, as Bangalore has been experiencing a weather change thanks to a trough of low depression off the Tamil Nadu coast.
These days the light in the city fades by around 1500 IST, and by 1700 hours it gets really dark.
The organisers are keeping their fingers crossed. In case it rains, there may be only a three-day game as the forecast for Monday is good, the met department pointed out.
In case the Test is washed out, Bangaloreans will surely curse their luck.
Rain played spoilsport during the last match played in the city -- the first One-Day International between Australia and India in September. Play had to be called of after Australia's innings. India, replying to Australia's 307 for 5 wickets, were 9 for the loss of Sachin Tendulkar's wicket in 2.4 overs when heavy rain forced the players to return to the pavilion.
The Indian team will not worry much about the forecast as they are already one up in the three-match series.
The last time Pakistan played in Bangalore, in 2005, the team fought back and leveled the three-Test series.
