India recorded their second straight victory in the Under-19 triangular limited over series in Sri Lanka by outclassing Bangladesh by 97 runs at Colombo's Sara Stadium.

Having comprehensively beaten hosts Lanka in their opening tie, India continued the good work by piling on 226 for 7 after being put in to bat by Bangladesh and then restricting their rivals to 129 for five in a match reduced to 40-overs a side on Sunday.

Skipper Tanmay Srivastava notched his second half century of the tournament by top-scoring for India with 56 off 80 balls, inclusive of four fours.

Srivastava's anchoring effort added muscle to some enterprising knocks by Manish Pandey (47 off 55 balls, inclusive of eight fours) and vice-captain Ravinder Jadeja (43 not out in as many balls, with four fours).

Bangladesh was hardly in the picture when they replied and there was little of note in their innings baring M Hasan's 50-ball 37 not out. Punjab colt Aman Preet Singh grabbed two wickets.

India's next match is against hosts Lanka on July 25.

Brief scores: India under-19 226 for 7 in 40 overs (Manis Pandey 47, Tanmay Srivastava 56, Ravindra Jadeja 43 not out, Pradeep Sangwan 32; R Hussain 2 for 42) beat Bangladesh under-19 129 for 5 in 40 overs (M Hasan 37 not out; Aman Preet Singh 2 for 25).
