India captain Rahul Dravid won the toss and elected to bat against Bangladesh in the second one-day international at the Sher-e-Bangla National stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka, on Saturday.

India opted to make one change and handed young leg-spinner Piyush Chawla his debut. He was included in place of pacer S Sreesanth.

Strike bowler Mashrafe Mortaza, who missed the last match because of injury, made it to the Bangladesh side in place of Shahadat Hossain.

Rain once again played spoilsport and delayed the start of play by half an hour. The match is reduced to 49 overs per innings, with no change in Powerplay overs.

A light drizzle combined with heavy winds hit the capital city in the morning, forcing the ground personnel to cover the pitch and surrounding areas.

With a heavy cloud cover above and around the stadium, there is likelihood that further rain interruptions could occur during the course of play.

India lead the three-match series 1-0 after winning the first on Thursday by five wickets. That match also had a delayed start due to rain and play was reduced to 47 overs per innings.

Teams:

India: Rahul Dravid (captain), Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, Yuvraj Singh, Dinesh Mongia, Dinesh Karthik, Mahendra Singh Dhoni (w/k), Ramesh Powar, Zaheer Khan, Piyush Chawla, Munaf Patel.

Bangladesh: Habibul Bashar (captain), Mohammad Ashraful, Aftab Ahmed, Javed Omar, Abdur Razzak, Mohammad Rafique, Tamim Iqbal, Mushfiqur Rahim (w/k), Saqibul Hasan, Mashrafe Mortaza, Syed Rasel.
